National Games Berlin 2022

The Special Olympics National Games took place in Berlin from 19 to 24 June 2022. Around 4,000 athletes celebrated a festival of encounters in the German capital and competed in 20 sports.

The National Games were an important milestone on the way to the Special Olympics World Games Berlin 2023, the world's largest inclusive sports event.


The Special Olympics World Games will be held in Berlin from 17 to 25 June 2023

We are overwhelmed! A week full of emotions, sports and parties lies behind us. Everyone had their own personal highlights and gained experiences that will be remembered. Let us revel in them together and already look forward to next year's World Games in Berlin.

#Berlin2022 Day 5! What's on the agenda today?

It is Day 5 and therefore already the last day of the National Games. Today we have triathlon, the finals of handball and basketball as well as the big Closing Ceremony on the schedule. An overview of the day's highlights can be found here.

Hot moments and celebrity visits on Day 4

With temperatures above 30 degrees, cooling down and enough to drink were provided on Day 4 during the sports competitions. And yet there were some particularly hot moments that made the fans' hearts of our athletes beat faster.
