The National Games are finally starting today! And on the day of the big Opening Ceremony, there are some more interesting topics on the agenda. An overview of the day's highlights can be found here.
- Swimming to start: We kick-off the sports competitions with the first divisioning races at SSE.
- The torch run leads the "Flame of Hope" across Berlin.
- The highlight of the day is the big Opening Ceremony at Stadion An der Alten Försterei.
Swimming is one of the sports with the largest number of participants at the National Games. In addition, there are a total of 20 disciplines being held.

That is why there is a little early start and the divisioning competitions already begin today: from 10:00 to 14:00 at the Schwimm- und Sprunghalle im Europasportpark (SSE).
After the torches from the various regions of Germany were united yesterday at the Special Olympics Festival at Neptunbrunnen, the journey of the "Flame of Hope" continues today across Berlin: from Olympiapark along the Straße des 17. Juni to Treptower Park and from there by boat across the Spree to the Alte Försterei.

And that is exactly where the goosebump moment of the day takes place: the big Opening Ceremony of the National Games Berlin 2022! With almost 4,000 athletes, volunteers, guests of honor and many spectators, the big party takes place at the Stadion An der Alten Försterei.
The highlight of the show program will be the performance of the Berlin band MiA., whose hits "Tanz der Moleküle" (Dance of the Molecules) and "Fallschirm" (Parachute) will create a great atmosphere and invite everyone to party.
By the way: A small contingent of tickets is still available. Secure your seat now and celebrate with us that the wait is finally over!
